PC Music‘s SOPHIE and A. G. Cook have put their glitch-pop spin on Yelle’s “Moteur Action,” a terrific (and extremely underrated) French-language dance-floor banger from the duo’s 2014 album, Complètement Fou. The reimagined track starts off harmlessly enough, with Julie Budet’s high, clear vocals leading the charge, but things take a turn for a truly weird: Instead of exploding into a good-times chorus of “moteurrrr actionnnnn,” the remix acts like the musical equivalent of Flubber — bounding and rebounding with uneven electronic percussion pounds and untethered, tweaked-out synths. Put on your helmet, and check it out below.
