Snoop Dogg is headed to Austin next week, as the multi-platinum artist has been selected to deliver the 2015 keynote address at this year’s South By Southwest music festival. The “Gin & Juice” rapper’s keynote conversation will be open to music and platinum registrants, as well as all the officially registered showcasing artists. Festival organizers have not specified exactly what Snoop Dogg, a.k.a Snoop Lion, a.k.a Snoopzilla, a.k.a. DJ Snoopadelic, will be discussing, but the announcement highlights his genre-spanning recording career, non-profit work, and the fact that he starred in the 2004 film Soul Plane. Snoop follows in the footsteps of Lady Gaga and Dave Grohl, who delivered 2014 and 2013’s keynote addresses, respectively.
