Watch Bjork Thrash in a Peacock Headpiece in the ‘Lionsong’ Video

It's the first official visual we've gotten from 'Vulnicura'

Last week, Björk kicked off the promotional blitz for her new album, Vulnicura, by ushering in the grand opening of her new retrospective MoMA exhibit — to middling reviews at best — and by kicking off a string of New York City show’s at Carnegie Hall. Now, the Icelandic singer has released the music video for “Lionsong,” one of the new LP’s starkest, most emotional tracks. According to its credits, the video “was created in collaboration between Björk, Inez & Vinoodh and [the] visual effects production house Framestore.”

“Lionsong” is a very typically Björk-ian video, with stunningly unique costumes (that peacock headpiece does wonders for her), wild dancing (Future Islands, take note), and glimmering, unforgettable visual effects. Watch the video above and read SPIN’s Vulnicura review here.
