Sturgill Simpson brought a little country to the Big Apple when he made his second appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday night. The Kentucky guitarist and singer-songwriter played the rustic “Long White Line” off of his album Metamodern Sounds in Country Music. Simpson’s harmonies and easy strumming were comforting in a classic sort of way without feeling stale or dated.
