Speedy Ortiz may have released a weird and fun comic strip about their upcoming album Foil Deer, but as of this morning, you can actually hear a song from the Major Arcana follow-up. “Raising the Skate” is a fairly raw collection of riffs and intriguing lyrics that are all coolly unpolished — though the harmonies are more noticeable than some of their past work. All in all it’s a pretty auspicious start to the new record, which drops on April 21. Listen below.
