Jenny Lewis and Ryan Adams Bring Moody Country-Pop to ‘Austin City Limits’

The sometimes collaborators each offer an abbreviated set to the live music show

The 40th season of the PBS’ live music institution Austin City Limits rolled on for another impeccably booked episode on Saturday night featuring the occasional collaborators Jenny Lewis and Ryan Adams. The Voyager singer took the stage first performing a handful of tracks pulled from her solo record from last year, 2008’s Acid Tongue, and even a pair of songs from her Rilo Kiley days “Moneymaker” and “Silver Lining.” Adams also played a short set which drew an assortment of tracks spanning from 2002’s Demolition to last year’s self-titled LP, including a cut from his outstanding punk EP 1984. You can watch the whole show above, and for more be sure to check out SPIN’s 2014 interview with Lewis where she talks about the process of working with Adams on The Voyager.
