The California outfit jammed through their …And Star Power cut “How Can You Really” with an infectious energy, and France used every inch of Letterman’s little stage to dance.
At times, it was hard to make out some of the lyrics from the retro-leaning tune, especially since they’re normally somewhat faint, but that hardly mattered given how into the performance the audience was — including Dave himself. “No more phone calls,” the impressed host announced after they were done. “We have a winner!” Watch the first-place performance above.
