Burial Unleashes Snarling New Song, ‘Temple Sleeper’

Last fall, the secretive British producer Burial — born William Bevan — released “Lambeth,” a coiled, one-off single that didn’t seem to indicate a full-length ahead. Today, Burial has offered another seemingly solitary single, “Temple Sleeper,” a skittish, uptempo track stuffed with the sounds of jingling coins, snarling beasts, and majorly minor-key synthesizers. It’s hard not to feel uneasy listening to the song, what with its jagged edges and relentless pounding. Stream it above.
