Bjork Announces New York Tour Dates Surrounding MoMA Retrospective

Earlier this week, Björk finally officially announced the March release of her new album Vulnicura, but that’s not all that the Icelandic art-popper has up her sleeve in March. In addition to her previously announced retrospective at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, the Biophilia auteur will also perform a handful of rare shows at Carnegie Hall and City Center, starting the day that her art show opens on March 7. In a note posted to her Facebook page, Björk noted that she’ll take the stage at the former venue on March 7 and 14 and the latter on March 25 28, April 1 and 4. Tickets will go on sale for these sets starting on January 19 for a fan pre-sale and to the general public on the 24. According to Björk’s Twitter, Vulnicura‘s co-producer Arca will open all of the matinee shows on March 28 and April 4. She’ll also play Governor’s Ball on the final weekend of her MoMA show from June 5-7. Check out the full slate of dates below.
