Vance Joy Pulls ‘Conan’ Into His ‘Riptide’

Vance Joy, Riptide, Conan

Armed only with a ukulele and his pristine voice, Vance Joy went on Conan on Wednesday night to play a stirring rendition of his big hit “Riptide.” The sparse performance was fitting, given the Australian singer-songwriter’s bare bones and earnest style, and the Conan audience loved it. Expect to see more of Joy, whose real name is James Keogh, on late night shows really soon. His debut record dropped in September and he’s going to be opening for Taylor Swift on her 1989 World Tour. No big deal. Watch “Riptide” on Conan above.
