Thom Yorke Bursts Out With New Song ‘You Wouldn’t Like Me When I’m Angry’
The Radiohead frontman also uploaded 'Tomorrow's Modern Boxes' to his Bandcamp page
Perhaps as a late holiday gift idea for the less punctual section of his fanbase, Thom Yorke has released his entire Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes album — previously available only through BitTorrent — to Bandcamp, where it’s now available for the low price of £3.86. (Six bucks, according to Google.) Yorke explained the move on his Twitter, calling Bandcamp “less technical for some peeps than BitTorrent” and pointing out that the site “works on Applemobile devices, includes streaming.”
In addition to his latest album, Yorke has also uploaded a bonus song to the service: “You Wouldn’t Like Me When I’m Angry,” sells for as many pounds as you’re willing to share. The track doesn’t quite go full Incredible Hulk — like much of Boxes, it’s a breathing, airy production with Yorke’s moaning falsetto settling gently over blankets of synths and a lightly crackling beat. It’s a nice stocking stuffer, if your family was too lazy or technology-dependent to buy physical stockings, anyway.
