KISS Say Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Screwed Them Over

Kiss, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

What would Thanksgiving be without an argument or two? Paul Stanley took to Twitter on Saturday to lambast the organizers of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for their handling of KISS‘ performance. “Bluntly, We were screwed over & misled by the exec in charge of #MacysThanksgivingDayParade [sic],” he wrote. “We ALL deserved better.”

He did not specify exactly how the parade screwed them, though it may have something to do with the way the performance was filmed — NBC waited until just before the first chorus to actually put the band on camera, and focused on bassist Gene Simmons during Tommy Thayer’s guitar solo. Watch KISS’ parade segment above (the video is queued to play at the start of the song), and see for yourself if it’s worth being mad about.
