When it comes to people-watching, there really is nothing like attending concerts. That’s a subject Girlpool explores in “Alone At the Show,” a quickie ballad from Le Sigh Vol. II Zine‘s forthcoming compilation tape of unreleased songs from female-fronted projects. Shout-singing in their trademark percussionless banter, Harmony Tividad and Cleo Tucker fantasize about someone they “heard on the radio,” who they are now, presumably, watching onstage: “I wanna look at you / But you don’t want me to / I’ve got a secret crush on you / Walk me to my car / Because I’ve parked too far / And tell me stories about your mom.”
