Watch Tears for Fears Perform ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ on ‘Kimmel’

Tears for Fears

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their sophomore album, Songs from the Big Chair, ’80s new wave pioneers Tears For Fears visited Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform two classic tracks: “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and “Sowing the Seeds of Love.”

Playing on a sprawling stage in the middle of Los Angeles, it looked like Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith brought tears to the audience’s eyes as they belted out the highly anthemic lyrics to “Rule the World,” which, of course, address the need for power and, as Smith once said, “the misery it causes.”
