Nas is milking his Illmatic anniversary celebration for all it’s worth, with a new a cappella cover of “The World Is Yours” that illustrates exactly why the influential Brooklyn rapper is still so revered 20 years later. Performing the bare-bones take for Noisey (via Vice Japan), Nas starts off his acoustic version slowly — it drags, too, its chorus sounding a little too empty without a beat to fill in its gaps.
