Days after releasing the heartbroken “Love Don’t Live Here No More,” Ghostface Killah truly sounds like a superhero gunning for revenge on “The Battlefield,” his decidedly more aggro new track, featuring Kool G Rap, AZ, and soul singer Tre Williamson.

The track, set to appear on the Wu-Tang rapper’s forthcoming concept album 36 Seasons, has Ghostface reflecting on how time has changed everything he used to know: “I’m back after nine years / That’s thirty-six seasons / Shit is changed up for all types of reasons / Staten Island ain’t the same, shit is lame / No familiar faces son, I’m dodging the game.”

Listen to “The Battlefield” above, and look out for 36 Seasons when it drops on December 9.
