Eminem Snags Big Sean, Danny Brown, and More For ‘Detroit Vs. Everybody’

In advance of Eminem’s upcoming Shady XV release, the rapper has unleashed the massive posse cut “Detroit vs. Everybody” featuring assists by fellow Motor City rapper Dej Loaf, Trick Trick, Big Sean, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, and Royce Da 5’9″. “Welcome to Detroit where if you get that promotion / Don’t worry man, the bullets will still be at your ass firing,” Sean raps sounding wearier than ever on the six-minute long track. Danny Brown’s verse is the standout, a scrappily rapped garble of words that immediately pulls you in.

“Detroit” comes hours after Eminem faced a wave of backlash for rhymes he spat in a cipher released yesterday afternoon, wherein he threatens to punch Lana Del Rey. “I may fight for gay rights, especially if the dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice / Play nice? Bitch I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance / Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens,” he rapped. Though Del Rey has yet to respond, Broke With Expensive Taste rapper Azealia Banks chimed in on Twitter, telling the singer to “tell [Eminem] to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwave hotpocket dinner and suck on his sisters tiddies.”
