Belle and Sebastian Throw a Retro Soiree in Their ‘Party Line’ Video

It's the first set of visuals from the band's forthcoming 'Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance'

As long as there have been young and beautiful people, all they’ve wanted to do is dance. (See: Fame, Footloose.) Belle and Sebastian concur in their new video for “The Party Line,” the first single from their upcoming album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance. In their latest, directed by Canadian duo Leblanc + Cudmore, hoards of gorgeous youngsters shake their groove things across various decades, make moon-eyes at each other, kiss, and repeat as necessary.

Toe “The Party Line” above, and look out for Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance when it drops on January 20 via Matador.
