Tyga’s New Diss Track Might Be About Drake

tyga, make it work, diss, drake

Last week, we heard the startling, life-altering news that Young Money rapper Tyga had fallen out with fellow labelmate (and arguably one of the most popular rapper’s around) Drake. Yesterday, Nicki Minaj announced that her next single, “Only,” would be a YMCMB production featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown — notice anybody’s conspicuous absence there?

This morning, Tyga clapped back with a loaded diss track called “Make It Work,” featuring barbs directed at an unnamed target whose name probably rhymes with “snake.” New York radio station Hot 97 seems to think one key lyrics — “[he] never was my homie, all these bitches know you’re corny” — is the rapper’s way of firing shots at someone who is technically still, though probably not for long if Tyga keeps this up, on his team.

Didn’t you see Drake going in to protect his friend at a strip club this weekend, Tyga? Don’t push Aubrey’s buttons or he’ll push right back. Stream “Make It Work,” and this weekend’s viral Drake vine, below.
