Perfume Genius — aka Seattle chamber-pop artist Mike Hadreas — made his long-awaited late-night television debut on Late Show with David Letterman. (Three cheers for you, Dave, for securing that.)
Performing “Queen,” from his recently released third effort Too Bright, Hadreas looked stupendous. Clad in a white suit and some kind of leather chain thing that wouldn’t look at all out of place in Babeland’s back room, Hadreas slithered and snaked his way around the stage as his backing band tapped out the dramatic keyboard melody to “Queen.”
