Neil Young Brings Along a 92-Piece Orchestra For ‘Who’s Gonna Stand Up?’ Video
The Canadian folk-rock icon's 'Storytone' hits stores November 4
Storytone, Neil Young’s follow-up to the starkly lo-fi A Letter Home, comes in two distinct versions. One features just Young, much like his other recent scratchy solo work, but more enticingly the other version features a grandiose 92-piece orchestra and choir. We’ve already heard the sweeping and swooning rendition of “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?,” but today Rolling Stone has shared a video for the track that shows every bit of its elegant production. Alternating between Young recording his vocal take and the gigantic orchestral production, you get a real sense of the elaborate setup. Watch the whole clip above as you wait for Storytone, which comes out November 4 on Reprise.
