On the back of her scratchy, subdued solo album Crush Songs, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ Karen O is in the midst of a string of stripped-down tour dates. Saturday night in London, in addition to those lo-fi solo songs, she and her band took on a couple of bonafide classics, the Doors “Indian Summer” and Radiohead’s “High and Dry.” Each of the covers offers a familiarly somber take on the tracks, but on the latter cover O’s touring guitarist, Brooklyn folkie Holly Miranda, takes lead vocal duties while O looks on.
