TV’s long-running live music institution Austin City Limits continued its 40th season Saturday night with a performance from Jeff Tweedy and his son Spencer’s new band Tweedy. But rather than just run through their latest album Sukirae, they decided to toss in a handful of tracks that paid tribute to the whole run of Tweedy’s musical career. Including deeper cuts like Uncle Tupelo’s “Give Back the Key to My Heart” and Wilco favorites like “Jesus, Etc.,” “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart,” and “California Stars,” the two Tweedys (along with members of Lucius) managed to offer up something pretty special. You can watch the full stream below, which also includes spirited performances of Sukirae highlights “High as Hello” and “Low Key.”
