Charli XCX Deserves a Crown for Her New Song ‘London Queen’

Charli XCX New Song London Queen Sucker

Charli XCX has revealed “London Queen,” a new song from her upcoming Sucker album. Produced by Justin Raisen and debuted via Rolling Stone, the track skews toward the the pop singer’s punkier inclinations. Speaking to RS, Charli gives Raisen credit for the song, explaining that “London Queen” was pretty much complete when it came to her. The 22-year-old “Boom Clap” star said she doesn’t typically do songs that have already been more or less finished, but she really connected with this particular tune — a track that she describes as “future Ramones” and has singled out as one of her favorites on the new album. Sucker comes out December 16 in the U.S., but any actual London queens will have to wait for the January 26 date in the U.K. and Europe.
