Belle and Sebastian Toe ‘The Party Line’ On Sprightly New Song

belle and sebastian

Hold on to your butts: Indie troubadours Belle & Sebastian have at long last released the first single from their upcoming album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, which is set to arrive on January 20 via Matador.

Premiering on BBC Radio 6 Music, the mega-upbeat track, titled “The Party Line,” sounds like a party indeed: The four-minute song bounces with melody, bumps with rhythm, and urges the listener, “Jump to the beat of the party line.” Don’t mind if we do.

Listen to the new tune above, and scroll down for Belle & Sebastian’s forthcoming tour dates. Pre-orders of Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance are currently available through iTunes and the Matador store.
