Will Ferrell Teams With Chad Smith, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready for Rolling Stones Cover
The doppelgängers also enlist Duff McKagan and Brandi Carlile under the name 'I Pissed My Pants'
Just three months after their hard-fought drum battle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith joined up again (as expected) in Seattle Friday night. But instead of a climactic faceoff, the doppelgängers brought along Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Brandi Carlile, Guns N’ Roses Duff McKagan, and Dave Matthews Band’s Stefan Lessard for a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Woman.” The performance was part of an event for Ferrell’s charity Cancer for College, and if nothing else it served as a reminder that the man knows how to handle a cowbell. Oh also, the supergroup was calling themselves “I Pissed My Pants,” which is a significantly better name than that one Win Butler put together. Watch the video above via Wondering Sound.
