Hear Lumineers’ Haunting ‘Walking Dead’ Song, ‘Visions of China’

The Lumineers Walking Dead Stream Visions of China Songs Survival

Perhaps the one thing more terrifying (for us, at least) than a world full of zombies is a world without music. Thankfully the people behind AMC’s The Walking Dead refuse to subject us to that torture, and maintain their commitment to solid music placements in the series and beyond. The Complete Fourth Season is available for pre-order now and it comes with a bonus disc dubbed Songs of Survival, Vol. 2. Thanks to Idolator, we’ve heard Colbie Caillat’s “The Way I Was,” and now we’re proud to premiere a haunting number by the Lumineers, “Visions of China.” Heard below, the track is hardly the heys-and-hos stuff of breakthrough singles. Instead, it’s a meditative piece that recalls Radiohead’s OK Computer to some degree, perhaps channeled through Fleet Foxes folksier paradigm. The bonus collection also includes exclusives from Phantogram (remixed by Alt-J), Crooked Fingers, and Kongos, among others.
