One week after dropping the first of three clues via her Instagram, Taylor Swift has announced plans for a worldwide live stream set to air next Monday, August 18, at 5 p.m. EST on Yahoo.
To tease the livestream news, the Nashville songstress took to social media last week with a series of hints. Last Monday, she posted a brief video to Instagram in which she pressed an “18” elevator button. Two days later, she uploaded a screenshot of her iPhone screensaver with the time 5:00 p.m. and a picture of a Polaroid camera, which one fan took to mean that her new single might be named after the famous camera. Swift’s final clue, a picture of the Yahoo homepage, came on Thursday.
If Swift sticks to her usual pattern, it’ll mean the release of a single sometime this month (most likely the point of the live stream), followed by a full album release in October. Fans have been speculating about new music from the “Red” singer ever since Swift was announced as a headlining act at this year’s iHeart Radio Music Festival, set to take place on Friday, September 19.
