Morrissey Was Really Dropped By His Label, Says Fan Site

Morrissey actually dropped label capitol harvest

Last week Morrissey’s fan site True to You reported that he had been dropped by Harvest Records, but a “source close to the situation” told Billboard yesterday that he was still with the label. Saturday morning True to You fired back, saying that the Billboard report was “incorrect” and that Moz had indeed severed ties with Harvest and Capitol.

According to the fan site, Morrissey and his lawyer have emails from label head Steve Barnett and his personal assistant that confirm the separation. The article also states that Morrissey has retained all of the rights to his recent solo album World Peace is None of Your Business because he never signed a recording agreement with the company to begin with.

Harvest Records has yet to offer an official statement on the matter.
