Foo Fighters Tease Their ‘Sonic Highways’ Album With More Rip-Roaring Riffage
After receiving test pressings of the new record, the band offered a brief guitar blitz
We’re still a couple of months away from the November 10 release date of Foo Fighters’ eighth studio album Sonic Highways, but yesterday the band posted on Twitter that they had received test pressings of the new record. In addition to a photo of the wax, as Consequence of Sound notes, Dave Grohl and co. also shared another eight-second clip of the actual music. Unlike the throat-shredding acapella that the last little clip offered, this one is pure instrumental guitar riffing—an all-too-brief blitz of the sort of flailing leads that you’ve come to expect from the quintet.
You can listen below, via a Tweet from the head of Twitter Music, or at the Foos’ Facebook page. And if November seems like way too of a wait for more, remember that Grohl’s HBO show debuts sooner, on October 17.
