DJ duo Above & Beyond talked with SPIN about the importance of doing their own thing backstage at Lollapalooza 2014.
“It’s all about trying to be around when that’s all past,” the group said. “Creating your own world than being part of a scene… When things move on, what have you got left?”
In the conversation, the group also discussed working with Madonna on a remix of her early ’00s hit, “What It Feels Like For a Girl.”
“It was quite an interesting exercise in dealing with someone who was so driven… I think we ended up with 32 versions before the time we got one she was happy with.”
