Weezer Go ‘Back to the Shack’ With a KISS Bobblehead on ‘Fallon’

Weezer 'Back to the Shack' Fallon 'Everything Will Be Alright in the End'

Weezer kicked the promotion for their tenth album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, into high gear earlier this week with the release of the nostalgia-heavy single “Back to the Shack,” which makes good on their promise to return to the sound of their earliest LPs, The Blue Album and Pinkerton. To drive the point home, the alt-geek quartet hit up The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a no-frills performance of the track, with an Ace Frehley bobblehead adding the only bit of flash. Perhaps it was a nod to their classic “In the Garage,” in which frontman Rivers Cuomo sings, “I’ve got posters on the wall / My favorite rock group KISS / I’ve got Ace Frehley / I’ve got Peter Criss.” It’s a fun rendition that’s sure to get fans excited for the Ric Ocasek-produced album, which is due out September 30 via Republic. Enjoy it above.
