Hear Deebs’ Gutted, Spaced-Out Remix of Future’s ‘I Won’

Deebs 'I Won' Remix Future Kanye West Stream

Earlier this month we heard Wertheimer’s full-tilt deranged remix of Future’s “Move That Dope.” Now, we inadvertently further the series with Deebs’ extensive remodeling of the Kanye West-featuring “I Won,” also from the SPIN cover star’s Honest album. Heard below, the Toronto producer guts the Metro Boomin beat so that the vocalists’ words sound as hollow as a gold-painted plastic trophy. Future’s pained moans and West’s braggadocio are complimented by futuristic trappings: a tinny percussive assault, blasts of static, and a crystalline synth sequence.

Deebs, a.k.a. Will Diebel, has a new EP due out September 9 — the official follow-up to his impressive Awry set — a promises more details soon. Spin “I Won” below, and revisit his stunner of an AlunaGeorge rework for a quick history lesson.
