Zach Braff Wish I Was Here Soundtrack Garden State Vinyl

The potentially life-changing soundtrack to Zach Braff’s new flick, Wish I Was Here, will be released digitally and on CD July 15. The long-awaited track list is available — peruse that below to find new music from the Shins, Bon Iver, Cat Power, and Coldplay, among others. You can also preorder the vinyl version of the release now, and in what may be the best news of all, it’ll have company: Braff is also gifting the world the sounds of Garden State on wax. Both arrive August 5.

Opening July 18 in New York and Los Angeles, Wish I Was Here is Braff’s directorial follow-up to that aforementioned canonical 2004 comedy. The previous movie’s musical pairing landed on SPIN’s list of 40 Movie Soundtracks That Changed Alternative Music, so we wait with great anticipation for the ripples of round two. Bon Iver’s new one is dubbed “Heavenly Father” and the Shins introduce “So Now What.” Cat Power teams with Coldplay for the titular number.
