Morrissey Enlists Pamela Anderson for ‘Earth Is the Loneliest Planet’ Video

With World Peace Is None of Your Business due July 15, Morrissey keeps rolling out spoken-word versions of the new album’s cuts. For the latest, “Earth Is the Loneliest Planet,” he brings along former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, most likely because the two share a fondness for animal rights activism. They don’t do much in the clip except stand on top of the Capitol Records Building in Los Angeles, taking in the view as the sun sets. According to SPIN’s Barry Walters, the sung version “paired acoustic Spanish guitar strumming with heart-piercing electric soloing,” so that should really spice up this downer — watch fan footage of the song’s live debut. Given that this is the fourth spoken-word video from the new album following the title track“The Bullfighter Dies,” and “Istanbul,” it seems like Moz is rolling out his entire LP with these vignettes.
