Hear Guerilla Toss’ Acidic, Mind-Bending ‘Cookie’

guerilla toss

Guerilla Toss are frontrunners for the title of Most Likely to Be Heard in a Dark Underground Warehouse With Flashing Technicolor Lights, Lots of Drugs, and Hip, Half-Naked Youths. The Best New Artist alums’ latest eccentric missive, “Cookie,” appears on the band’s upcoming 367 Equalizer cassette, and contains a fit of repetitive, buzzing synths and erratic percussion. Assisting with the sensory overload is lead singer Kassie Carlson, whose caustic vocal hiccups underline the track’s laser-like sound effects.

Sample the bewitchingly destructive “Cookie” below, before it officially arrives on July 15. Limited to 300 tapes, 367 Equalizer is on the way through Infinity Cat Recordings, as part of the label’s bi-monthly Cassette Series, curated by Diarrhea Planet‘s Casey Weissbuch. Subscribe to the franchise by heading to the Infinity Cat website.
