The-Dream Arrested on Felony Assault Charge

The-Dream, arrested, felony, assault, ex-girlfriend

The-Dream’s recently shared “Black” video is the type of forgiving, inclusive, and powerful civil-rights anthem that’s too rarely heard and, as evidenced by one of the heroes name-checked in the song, has tended throughout history to be a positive force. Horribly, it arrived just as TMZ was reporting New York police wanted to question the-Dream about accusations that a year earlier he’d punched, kicked, and strangled then-girlfriend Lydia Nam, who was pregnant with his son.

Well, again according to TMZ, the “Single Ladies” and “Umbrella” songwriter born Terius Nash surrended to authorities today. The Love King singer was reportedly booked on felony assault and strangulation charges, plus misdemeanor charges of assault, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment. He was still in custody as of the site’s post. There’s no direct comment yet on the news from the-Dream’s social media accounts, but he was active on Twitter early this morning.
