Hear Kanye West’s Jittery, Abrasive ‘God Level’

Kanye West God Level Hudson Mohawke Stream

Kanye’s off somewhere in Europe getting married, but that hasn’t stopped him from releasing a surprise new track called “God Level” in an Adidas ad.

The Hudson Mohawke, Mike Dean, 88 Keys and Noah Goldstein-produced track pops up near the end of the minute-long spot (which also features soccer stars like Lionel Messi, Dani Alves, and Mesut Özil), and sounds appropriately like a grating post-Yeezus banger, but transposed onto the heightened emotion of the soccer pitch. It sure doesn’t sound like the “kinder, gentler” Kanye that seems to be coming on his rumored eighth LP.

Adidas initially had a full version of the track streaming on their Soundcloud account, but that has subsequently been pulled. Fortunately some enterprising Youtubers ripped the track and posted it, so you can hear what’s presumably the full version below, in addition to the snippet in the ad above.
