Future and Little Dragon Amp Up the Sensuality on Nosaj Thing’s ‘Klapp Klapp’ Remix

Future Little Dragon Nosaj Thing 'Klapp Klapp' remix

What a surprise for this afternoon. Just two days after the release of Little Dragon’s fourth LP, Nabuma Rubberband, Los Angeles electronic musician/producer Nosaj Thing remixed its lead single, “Klapp Klapp.” While the original is a pretty rollicking, driving affair with its quarter-note snare hits, the new version shifts those sounds to the background, adding ethereal synths under Yukimi Nagano’s vocals.

The singing comes across as more sensual thanks to the downtempo vibe, but the real ear-opener comes around the halfway mark when Future shows up for some rapid-fire autotune lines. “I knew you in another life, I swear I knew you / I knew you’d be the type of girl I’d be into,” he speak-sings as the original chorus drifts in behind him. Enjoy it below, and check out our cover story on Future and the making of his SPIN Essential sophomore album, Honest.
