Todd Terje Soundtracks Silly Walks in ‘Leisure Suit Preben’ Video

Has “it’s video time” been done yet? Probably, but Norwegian slow-disco mischief-maker Todd Terje‘s visuals for It’s Album Time‘s lounge-y spy-movie love affair “Leisure Suit Preben” are in keeping with the retro-luxurious eccentricity of the DJ/producer’s masterful debut full-length. Directed by Espen Friberg & Emil Høgset, it starts with a suit-wearing man stumbling down the sidewalk, haunted by a disembodied face, and ends someplace very different. The YouTube blurb describes our hero, an Oslo resident named Preben, as “a singer, dancer, and party animal.” Here’s hoping “Preben” is basically the Scandinavian equivalent of Larry. (It’s “Terr-YEAH,” by the way — the extra syllable is for “Yeah, baby!”)
