While Frank Ocean seems content to stand on the banks of the mainstream and toss great ideas at passing vessels (i.e. Beyoncé), Miguel happily dove right in following the stellar reception of his breakout album, Kaleidoscope Dream. His list of collaborators seems to grow monthly — Mariah Carey, Big Sean, Wale, J. Cole — and now he’s adding a very veteran name: Carlos Santana. The legendary guitarist has gotten the old band back together for the May 6 album Corazon, and now we can hear the Miguel team-up, “Indy.” The spare song is half prayer, half come-on, as the vocalist says things like, “I would like to lay ya, way up in the Himalayas,” and asks the female subject if she hurt herself falling from heaven.
