Dub Thompson have, uh, dubbed their debut album 9 Songs, but the upcoming LP actually contains eight tracks. Main men Matt Pulos and Evan Laffer shared one cut back in March (sinewy psych-groove “Dograces”), and now they’ve dropped a second. “No Time” opens with crackling tape hiss and a moody swagger-stomp before adopting a reggae-like wheeze, all in service of the song’s mordant thesis: “Baby, you’ve got no time for love.” Stream the basement-scene beauty below, and pre-order 9 Songs — which is out June 10 on Dead Oceans — through iTunes.
