About That Time Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff Was Punched By a Clown

Bleachers Hotline Lena Dunham Fun Video Antonoff

Fun. member and Bleachers boss Jack Antonoff was once punched in the face by a clown, as a child. Dial 888-920-1991 and you can he’ll tell you the story. The new hotline is a thematic follow-up to the “I Wanna Get Better” video — directed for Bleachers by Antonoff’s girlfriend, the multi-talented Lena Dunham — in which our hero plays the exasperated psychiatrist to a series of troubled couples and individuals.

Above, you can see a new music-free sketch culled from the clip, but the main event is the aforementioned phone number. Dial that and Antonoff’s voice presents you with some enticing options: hear a new song; listen to a small child read the lyrics of “Shadow”; or get the skinny on young Jack’s awful day at the circus. Catch Bleachers in SPIN’s SXSW portraits gallery, and stay tuned for more info on the forthcoming RCA album from the onetime Steel Train frontman.

Fun., meanwhile just released a Record Store Day 10-inch compiling demos from their splendid 2009 debut, Aim and Ignite. Stream Point and Light below.
