S. Carey, Bon Iver percussionist and recording artist in his own right, will return on April 1 with his second solo album, Range of Light. Speaking to SPIN last year about the upcoming effort, the Wisconsin-based tunesmith said, “You can hear the patience in the music.” Well, Carey has generously shared some of that patience with another singer-songwriter, New York’s Doug Keith. The man born Sean Carey has remixed “Harvest Home,” the folky opening track from Keith’s latest LP, the recently released Pony. Carey, of course, takes a light touch: He does away with the drums of the original, choosing to favor the sort of ambience and intimacy found on, say, his very own “Fire-scene.” Stream S. Carey’s gentle remix of “Harvest Home” below, pre-order Range of Light through iTunes, and purchase Doug Keith’s Pony via iTunes as well.
