It’s been over three years since Andy Butler’s musical project Hercules and Love Affair released an album, but now they’re finally back with a follow-up to Blue Songs. The rotating-member group will unveil The Feast of the Broken Heart this spring, and the first listen to the album comes courtesy of the track “Do You Feel the Same?” It’s a peppy dance number over a fairly minimal beat, adorned by the wailing vocals of Belgian singer Gustaph. “I wanted nasty basslines, stormy, bleary-eyed sounds, fiery, rough, tough and ragged old school house productions that sounded almost techno,” Butler said in a statement about the album. “I didn’t want polite, I wanted aggressive.” John Grant, Rouge Mary, and Krystle Warren also contributed vocals to the LP, which was produced by Ha-Ze Factory and Mark Pistel.
