When Devo member Robert “Bob 2” Casale’s heart gave out unexpectedly on February 17, he left behind no will or insurance, said his brother Gerald “Jerry” Casale in a tweet. The iconic New Wave band’s bassist also shared a link that leads concerned fans and friends to a GoFundMe page — the aim is to raise $100,000 to help the family that the younger Casale left behind.
FYI There’s a donation site at http://t.co/9OzikRb6PM for Bob 2’s wife and children. I have done what I can but he had no will or insurance.

According to the listing, run by Devo’s website manager Michael Pilmer, the late guitarist’s wife Lisa and their two children, Alex and Samantha, were hit hard by medical bills and funeral costs, and also need help with “general family expenses in the absence of Bob.” All gifts will go directly to Bob 2’s family — they’ve raise over $11,000 so far — and people can leave condolences as well.
Thank you all for the outpouring of condolences. I am broken by this loss. Brother, friend, bandmate, ally and truly decent human – gone!
