Lena Dunham Makes Hilarious Music Video for Boyfriend

Lena Dunham Makes Hilarious Music Video for Boyfriend

Fun. guy Jack Antonoff will release his first solo album this spring under the name Bleachers, and his opening salvo is exactly the sort of ecstatic, bursting, guiltless pop you’d expect. We first heard “I Wanna Get Better” over a month ago, and now the former Steel Train frontman has let loose the video for the single, which happens to be directed by his girlfriend, Lena Dunham. The Girls creator and star paints a pretty hilarious fictionalized portrait of her bespectacled beau. In the opening scene, his video girlfriend leaves him despite this heart-wrenching plea: “Come back, I will make you an espresso.” Antonoff plays a head-shrinker to a string of hilariously broken souls — “My parents gave me this dog so I would get an abortion. He’s an abortion dog,” says one — who share the song’s titular concern. Watch above, and check out Bleachers in SPIN’s SXSW live photo gallery.
