ScHoolboy Q Streams Guest-Packed ‘Oxymoron’ in Full

ScHoolboy Q 'Break the Bank' Video Oxymoron

As announced by ScHoolboy Q’s daughter, the South Central Los Angeles MC will release his major label debut on Tuesday, February 25. The young Joy also posed for Oxymoron‘s mean-mugging cover, and appears in the video for “Break the Bank,” a fierce new song that asks what’s next after rap stops paying the artist’s bills. That’s streaming above, but it’s hardly the only gift from the Top Dawg rhymer making the rounds.

iTunes Radio is streaming the entire album right now. Guests therein include 2 Chainz, Kurupt, Kendrick Lamar, Raekwon, Suga Free, and Tyler, the Creator among others. Live clips of “Hoover Street,” and “Banger (MOSHPIT)” with “Break the Bank” can be seen below (excuse the poor audio). Q has said the new LP’s theme revolves around his newfound responsibilities as a father, and his past history with the Crips.

The Jason Goldwatch-directed video above plays with contrast, too, as we see shots of Q’s girl in a tutu with a big golden balloon alongside images of (among others) an uzi-toting dude with copious face tattoos. The Alchemist’s signature production pits pretty keys against a grimacing chorus, which itself features a growled-out sing-song reminiscent of Cypress Hill. No Macklemore cameos this time.
