Sam Smith recently helped Disclosure secure the “Latch” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and the British singer-songwriter returned to late-night TV on February 12 to play assistant once again. This time, though, the crooner joined Naughty Boy, a producer/DJ/songwriter and fellow Brit, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their “La La La” collaboration, which graced Naughty Boy’s 2013 debut album, Hotel Cabana, and topped the U.K. charts. Naughty Boy manned an MPC, parceling out high-pitched vocal clips, while the always suave Mr. Smith lent the track a stunning human touch. “I’m covering my ears like a kid,” he sang. “When your words mean nothing, I go ‘la la la.'”

Be sure to keep your ears uncovered when you press the play button above. And watch out for Smith’s solo debut album, In the Lonely Hour, due May 26 via Capitol.
