Marissa Nadler Haunts Your Memories in ‘Was It All a Dream’ Video

Marissa Nadler 'Was It All a Dream' Video July Stream

Boston-based ghostly folkie Marissa Nadler released her seventh album last week. July finds her sounding more haunted then ever thanks to the power of her own voice and strum, plus understated production courtesy of Randall Dunn [Earth, Sunn O))), Wolves in the Throne Room] and strings arranged by Eyvind Kang (Mike Patton, John Zorn, Bill Frisell). Above, via Stereogum, you can watch a freshly released video for one of the LP’s most lush songs, “Was It All a Dream,” wherein an older man brings our gothic heroine to life via an ancient film reel complete with Le Voyage Dans la Lune-style effects and title cards to help tell the story. July is out now on Sacred Bones Records.
